A DUTY WE MUST DO TO PRESERVE ITS BEAUTY

 

            Duties. Duty is described as a commitment to perform an action in general or certain circumstances. It is a moral obligation or responsibility. As people, we of course have our duties and responsibilities in our lives. And one of those is to of course take care of the environment.

            As we all know, there are numerous ways to help protect and care for the environment, but some can't perform them if they don't acknowledge the environmental problems. So, first things first, recognize and acknowledge the issues regarding the environment. After you've realized the not great state the environment is in, ask yourself the following or similar questions, "What have I been doing with my life?", "Have I even contributed to help take care of the environment?" and/or "How can I help save the earth?".

            Done questioning yourself? Great! Because here is the part where I share some ways on how to take care of the environment. First is to NOT to do so that you don't harm the environment such as littering. Stop those habits immediately. When you've spent time not harming mother nature, what you should do next is to actually start taking care of the environment. You can do this by simply picking up litter and throwing them into the proper garbage bin and performing the 4Rs (reuse, reduce, recycle and recover) for good waste management. You should also avoid using plastic, don't burn plastics, conserve energy and water, walk or bike instead of taking public transport if possible. And if you want and are able to, participate in activities and programs that are related to saving the environment.

            We were given the chance on earth and live the life we didn't ask for and be part of society and the human race. Us humans are able to know right from wrong and good from bad. So, we must use this knowledge to do something good like taking care of the place we live in, earth. We are mostly responsible for all the issues nature is facing, so as a member of society that lives on earth, we have a responsibility, a purpose in our life, to protect and take care of mother earth and its beauty. As they say, even little actions can make a big difference in the future. Thus, we should act now for the future and for future generations to come because it is our duty. A duty we must fulfill to preserve its beauty.
