A new year. New things, new people, new interests, new friends, and new everything. Even if we don’t notice them, something new happens almost all the time. But an exemption to this, is of course the very known change into the new year.
The New Year represents a new
beginning for the new chapters in people’s lives in preparation for
the New Year, people do a number of things. Cleaning the house, preparing a lot
of food and decorations, and, of course, making New Year's resolutions. Resolutions
are as fragile as empty promises, can easily be broken without much care in the
world. But that doesn’t mean we can’t try to keep them in one piece.
Personally, my resolutions are
broken the moment I think about them. So, I try not to think about them and
just try to improve myself and become a new me while still having traits of my
old self. But I haven’t fully succeeded yet. Though I don’t guarantee in
becoming a new version of me, I learned through the years that as long as I’m
changing for the better and doing my best, overcoming my resolutions aren’t as
big of a deal as I thought. So, through the years, I’ll try my best for “New
Year, is New me.”
