THROUGH YOUR EYES

 

 

            Cares for the family. Stay at home. Delicious cooking.
 

            Those are what some people usually think about when they hear the word ‘Mother’ or ‘Mom’. Though being true, these are not the only descriptions fit for a mother. Mothers are those who also work very hard and make numerous sacrifices to take care and provide for her family as much as the father, if not more. It is also worth noting that these descriptions are suited for both parent roles, the mother as well as the father.

 

        Mother’s Day is a holiday honouring mothers, that is observed in different forms throughout the world. It is to honour not only biological mothers, but it is also for adoptive mothers and any sort of mother figures in general. And I think it’s very heartwarming knowing that every mother and mother figures are being honored on this special day.

This is a short message to all of those who deserve to be called “Mother”.
 
You are often there when we are feeling troubled. The times we’ve lied to you, when we stole some money from you, when we were causing you great stress, when we have yelled many hurtful things directed toward you that some of us regret saying. You would always forgive us after some time, no matter how much or often we cause YOU trouble. You along with father are the reason for why are breathing now. You guided us toward our early years in our life. To give you thanks, let us repay you for all the sacrifices you’ve made for us by being the ones to take care of you when the time comes. Please rest, you all deserve it.
 

 

       No matter how often some of us has been storming off and running away, you would cook our favourite food for us right when we got home.

       No matter what, you will somehow always unconditionally love us. I guess that’s what they call Motherly love.

         No matter how much trouble we’ve caused you, more often than not, you will eventually see what’s good deep in us.

        You still seem to always find a way to forgive us. I wish to see what you see in me.
